In several episodes, he was 'looking for work' and found it in the 'Bedrock Gravel Quarry' (... or whatever - where Fred works). On at least one occasion, he was installed as Fred's supervisor. I would suspect that, unless it was necessary to uphold a story line, Barney's occupation was not mentioned. -- Chris
