Optical Astronomy Observatories, Tucson, AZ USA Lines: 24 Xref: watmath net.wanted:6180 net.periphs:725 net.micro:10016 We are starting to investigate using optical disks to archive digital imaging data. Can anyone provide any leads on recorders, readers, and computer interfaces that are available now or may be in the near future (1 year)? Of particular interest is storing digital data on compact disks (CDs). Any general comments on optical disks would also be appreciated - I know very little about them and have not kept up with the literature. Email to me: I will summarize for the net if enough interest (sorry if this duplicates previous queries). Thanks in advance. -- Pat Seitzer National Optical Astronomy Observatories P.O.
