Unfortunately, many University researchers, in some cases primarily
interested in getting things done quickly for the sake of quick
publication, tenure, and grant proposals, are just following along
with the old models like bulls with rings in their noses, instead
of striking out in new directions.  In a very real sense, due primarily
to the three factors mentioned above, many academic researchers are just
as concerned with economic factors as the commercial organizations, though
in a slightly different manner.
