Hi,

 I have received many requests for the beta version of Kermit (now
version 1.6 due to improvements/fixes).  I have created a shar
archive for the folks on Usenet.  The file is rather large ( >130k),
so if you still want it mailed to you, or feel I should post it
somewhere (net.sources???), send me a message now.  I will do this
as a one time, one shot deal only. Afterwards, you will have to get
Kermit through the normal distribution channels (Columbia, Okstate,
or a site who receives the regular distribution frequently).  The
official release of the newest Kermit will be made to Columbia
within two weeks.
