He kindly loaded the same version into his pc and ran it without any problems. I'm still at a loss to understand what happened, although Pete and I are still looking into it. I don't know what configuration Pete has, but I had an XT with 640K of memory, a Hercules board, 2 async ports running Dos and Venix with the Connector. (Don't bother with this one, but that's a story for another night.) If you have a similar setup, you may want to pause befor hitting return.
