Mars Hotel is out of print.  I don't know if it makes a difference
or not legally but copying an out of print album is morally ok to me.
How are you preventing somebody from getting royalties for something
they're not selling?  I suppose some record company has the rights to
the record but if they don't want to sell it, screw 'em.
