For a careful (and somewhat lengthy) discussion of the SDI, I would
recommend _Far_Frontiers_.  This is a bookazine, published by Baen books,
and co-edited by Jerry Pournelle and Jim Baen.  Pournelle makes several 
good points in favor of the SDI.

One of the more curious things I find about the SDI debate is that
so many people are lambasting Reagan for fulfilling his constitutional
