To Mike Stalnaker, Sir Isaac Newton appeared in a Heinlein juvenile novel entitled _Between_Planets_ - it was about a boy who got caught in the middle of a war between Venus and Earth. The dragons were denizens of Venus who used speech recognition (translation) and synthesis devices to communicate with humans; their own language was one of whistles.
