We have a gross problem here that is unresolvable along the current lines of discussion. I.e., are you going to argue that it is Biblically immoral, or that it's immoral according to all religions? Here's why: a reason the Bible explicitly mentions prostitution is that, during the time when the Israelites were crossing the desert to the promised land, they were always encountering worshippers of another deity who God was opposed to (since the Religion of the Hebrews is a monotheistic religion), Baal; and one of the major parts of Baalism was temple prostitution. So you just can't make this ``argument from religion;'' it will have to be an argument from a particular religion. -- Full-Name: J.
