My thanks to all those people who filled in the missing scene from Arena.
For those interested, the Gorn moved the boulder trapping Kirk before
finishing him and Kirk promptly bashed him around the ears and made of
as best his injured leg could carry him ( about 3 times faster than the
Gorn ).

I saw ST:TMP over the weekend ( and ST:TWOK and ST:ISOS, trouble with
tribbles and the original episode featuring Kahn - a great weekend in
all ) and have lost all interest in using the transporter for *anything*.
