Just as an item of interest re: the SS -- it is illegal (verboten) to
display the SS motif (two lightning bolts forming the S's) inside West Germany.
One amusing consequence of this law was that the rock group "KISS" was
supposed to change its logo when it toured Germany -- they used the double
S's in their name.

It seems a little strange that every member of the SS was supposed to be
a war criminal; but then, if you hang around with scum, ...
