Here are the (to me, surprising) results of TIMING TESTS (performed by
me) comparing the Versatec to the LaserWriter.

As lineprinters:

	device			sec/page	page/min

	LaserWriter		12		5
	Versatec		 9.2		6.5

As phototypesetters:

	LaserWriter		12		5
	Versatec		18.9		3.2


None of these numbers include troff time;  these are print times from 
prepared files.

Note that the Versatec is 58% slower than the LaserWriter as a 
phototypesetter (I had thought it was faster!), and only 23% faster
as a lineprinter.
