Now running the same (!) new /unix I had ready last night.  Tonight,
when I flipped the switch from 4 to 5 on the DH board, everything
worked perfectly.  Argh.  This new /unix has 16 more ports (groan),
one of which is active as the 5th public terminal, complete with the
plotter (finally relocated to a sensible place).  The new /unix also
has some internal changes, slightly larger table sizes (which may
reduce our overload problems, temporarily), and just possibly slightly
better performance from a smarter readahead algorithm.
