I am considering the purchase of a 1983 or 1984 VW Rabbit
GTI, and I would appreciate receiving mail from GTI owners concerning
their experiences with this car.  I am particularly interested in the
GTI's reliability, potential problems, and specific things to look for
when checking out used examples.  I am also interested in opinions
as to whether or not a GTI is an adequate replacement for a 1981
Fiat Spider 2000f.i. in magnificent condition.
