The car is 64 months old and has been driven 53K miles. The transmission started failing last June. I want advice on how to deal with GM. (The dealer is not being helpful, maybe because I am not a regular customer of their service department.) I read the November, 1983, issue of Consumer Reports and found out about the FTC-GM arbitration agreement and about New York State's lawsuit. Any additional information, particularly concerning cars approximately five years old, will be useful. Thanks, S.E. Polanco
