They are great!! Food cooked on the grill is terrific - there is no difference, really between the taste of food cooked on a Jenn-Aire or a gas barbecue except that the "J-A" food might not taste as "gassy" if you use the hickory-smoke plate. Try to buy one that has the "cartridge" option on at least one side. This way you can have the use of two stovetop coils and: a barbeque grill, or pancake griddle, or rotiserie, or deep-frier, or the regular four stovetop coils. If you already have a stove and are buying the J-A as an extra, then see if you can get one with a removable cartridge so you have more cooking options! K.B.
