Why don't "THEY" fix this bug? > With all due respect, Regard, it seems to me that your flame about the subject of personal defense vs. The Right to Bear Arms is a bit of a 'Paper-Tiger'! The fact is that this "civilization" stuff is a very thin veneer, that hardly covers the true nature of Humanity. Some examples; the recent (and continuing!) starvation/drought in Africa is hearlded by the great British in a most unusual fashion; while people in the USA are doing what they can to help, the British government allowed the export of 1000's of gallons of English GIN to the government-class in these same afflicted areas! Does that sound like a civilized thing to do? Personal defense is rooted in the belief that one must survive, if the weapons available are guns, so be it! Make no mistake, the survivor can do so without the use of fire-arms. I simply prefer to keep my Constitutional Rights intact, and my options of defense open. Your point about Japan being over-worked as a society model is well taken. I think the people who point to it in this fashion are unaware of the real nature of and mindset that has been present there for centuries. enuf! -Avatar-> Erik K. Sorgatz Transaction Technology Inc.
