NO NO NO!  among the ever continuing cycles that exist on the  net,  e.g.  the
light  bulb  joke cycle, the "worst drivers" cycle, the gun control cycle, the
VMS (boo-hiss) .vs. UNIX cycle etc. etc., here  you go with the "what  do  you
call  soda/pop/coke"  cycle,  and it's NOT TIME YET.  we did this whole stupid
affair about a year, maybe year and a half ago.

look it up in the official "cycle this topic" list:

        light bulb jokes: every six months
        gun control: after any major gun slaying (McD's etc.)
        UNIX .vs. that other piece of shit: every eight months.
        worst drivers: twice a year, normally spring and fall.
        stupid peoples court: often as possible, we love it!
        can christians have sex?: every three-four months.
        how do i unrotate jokes?: start of fall semester.

        what do you call soda/pop/coke?: EVERY TWO YEARS!!  <=======

of course, the list goes on and on.  this is the curse of the net, with such a
dynamic (as in changes a lot, not the other dynamic) group of subscribers, the
same ol' junk cycles and cycles and cycles and....

i'm not blaming anyone here, i was new  to  the  net  myself,  but  there  ARE
regulated  time  tables  for boring everyone to death with various topics, and
certain key user-ids within AT&T bring up topic XXXXX at the correct time,  to
keep  the  net  traffic  flowing  (and  $$$  flowing).   this  is  part of the
artificial intelligence story that you might remember me leaking  to  the  net
last summer.

AT&T spreads the topics out so, say, we don't have the entire net arguing over
UNIX .vs. " el' crappo operating systemo" AND who has the worst drivers at the
same time.  that would be to obvious, and we don't want people complaining.

anyhow, the topic of soda/pop/coke has been brought up TOO soon for its cycle.
we  are  just  now  finishing the "screaming kids in restaurants" experiment i
intitiated a few weeks ago.  (although everything i said  WAS  true).   it  is
simply not the right time for the soda/coke/pop debate.  it is scheduled to be
brought up on august 14th, when ken arndt(our latest ai project) will  discuss
how  soda  can  be  used  to  kill  people.   this  will  start  a  flurry  of
conversation, and the soda/coke/pop issue will rear its ugly head once more.

please refrain from any soda/coke/pop discussion until its proper time.
