Please reply to ARPA: koen@ucla-cs.arpa UUCP: ...!{cepu,ihnp4,randvax,sdcrdcf,trwspp,ucbvax}!ucla-cs!koen Thanks --- I'm having a problem using my apple IIe as a terminal when dialing in to a Unix system. I believe the termcap I am using is correct for the apple IIe with 80-column card, but my apple doesn't seem to respond to any of the termcap features. The termcap dependent programs like vi and more don't work properly. I can't even clear screen by echoing ^L, which normally works when using the 80-column card. I suspect that the software that I am using is intercepting control characters before they get to the apple display. Here is my system configuration: Terminal: apple IIe with apple 80-col card. Software: Transend1 communications program. Modem: Prometheus 1200A (internal) with on-board firmware. (installed in slot #2) Termcap: av|apple2e|Apple ][e with 80 column card:\ :am:bc=^H:bs:db#0:bw:cd=^K:ce=^]:cl=^L:dF#0:cm=^^%r%+ %+ :co#80:\ :cr=^M:dC#0:do=^J:do=^J:ho=^Y:kb=^H:kd=^J:kl=^H:ku=^K:li#24:\ :ma=^Hh^Jj^Kk:nd=^\:nl=^J^M:dN#0:pt:se=^N:sf=50^W:sg#0:so=^O:\ :sr=50^V:ta=9999^I:up=^_: Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?
