I am the new happy father of an inguinal hernia, and would like to
know what sort of recovery rates any other people out there who've
had hernia repair.  My doctor says six weeks, but that sounds like
bunk.

Also any information about the Shouldice method, particularly from
people with real medical knowledge, would be appreciated.
