Message-ID: <3619@alice.UUCP> Date: Mon, 22-Apr-85 21:10:10 EST Article-I.D.: alice.3619 Posted: Mon Apr 22 21:10:10 1985 Date-Received: Tue, 23-Apr-85 07:16:26 EST Organization: Bell Labs, Murray Hill Lines: 9 A few months ago, I mentioned that I made my own saline solution because I had some problems with the old style saline preserved with thimerosal. Several people sent me mail suggesting I try the new breed of prepared saline for sensitive eyes. Well, that sounded like a good idea since making saline is a pain. But I have now tried 2 brands, Bausch and Lomb, and Barnes-Hind. Both brands have a very strange and very unpleasant smell. Both were well within the expiration date. Have any other soft contact lens wearers been bothered by this? It was a great idea but I went back to making my own.
