I have been having some trouble with softworks "C" and need help badly.
First 
	External variables HAVE to be initailized. This is not standard
	and is contrary to the manual but it's the only way I can get them
	to work. Any help on this point ?
Second
	A number of functions are in the documantation but I continully
	get external undefined errors when I try to call them. Among
	Thease is arctan(). I can do much with out an inverse tangent
	function.

Both of thease problems return the same linker error "external undefined"
If you have any advise please let me know I'm quite desperate.
