How about the beginning of the film version of Nicholas Meyer's "The
Seven Percent Solution" (with Nicol Williamson as Sherlock Holmes)?
As I recall, right before the action started there was a frame con-
taining the following caveat (or something very like it):

  "The story you are about to see is completely true.  Only the
   facts are made up."
