It's quite simple. Both men and women are more attracted to MOTOS who look nice. Looking nice often means dressing up, and ties are usually something that a man wears when he is dressed up. What I've never been able to figure out is why a piece of cloth tied around your neck is considered by our society to be something you wear when you dress up. I think it's a rather silly practice myself. BTW, I wear jeans to work. I haven't worn a tie this year for *any* occasion.
