They are told that they are paid 25 cents an hour to wear a tie. They receive 25 cents more than minimum each hour. The only people who wear ties consistently are the service people ( read: clerks ) such as shoe store clerks, used car dealers, waiters. We have been told to "dress for success" by emmulating your "betters"; which "better" catagory are you copying when you wear a tie? I realize that life here in New Mexico is easier on the wardrobe than life back east, but I don't understand why. Perhaps it's because we don't keep slaves or consider a person "bought" just because we pay them wages...
