Many people have been asking me for the original BASIC version of
the Comet Halley Ephemerides "C" program which I posted a couple
of weeks ago.  Unfortunately, I do not have a transmittable copy of
the BASIC version.

The original BASIC program appeared in the February 1985 issue of
Astronomy magazine.  This magazine is indexed in the Reader's Guide
to Periodical Literature; most libraries should have a copy.  If you
are unable to get your hands on a copy of this issue, you can write
to the publishers:

They often have back issues available for sale at the cover price ($2.00).
The issue, again, is Feb 1985, and the article is entitled
"Computing the Ephemeris of Comet Halley" by Roger Browne.
