Apparently the technical manuals list 14 ships, yet someone mentioned that there were 12. Now the numbers show 12 ships ranging from NCC-1700 to NCC-1711 plus 2 more with odd numbers. So maybe the odd two are not the same kind of ship or were just supposed to have been later models, who knows. You will also notice that for the two ships, I received more than 1 number. The Doomsday Machine was the one with Matt Decker wasn't it? Well then let's all gather around the set, get our booze bottles lined up, chug when Kirk says "Kirk here..." and watch that episode closely and see just what that number is. I'd still like to know if there were any more captains names dreamed up for all these ships without leaders. 1 Constellation NCC-1717 1071 1704 Matt Decker (lost) 2 Constitution NCC-1700 (training ship) 3 Enterprise NCC-1701 James T. Kirk (stolen) 4 Excalibur NCC-1705 Harris 5 Exeter NCC-1706 Ron Tracy (crew dead) 6 Farragut NCC-1702 Garrovick (lost) 7 Hood NCC-1707 8 Intrepid NCC-1708 (lost) (all Vulcan) 9 Kongo NCC-1710 10 Lexington NCC-1703 Robert Wesley 11 Potempkin NCC-1711 12 Republic NCC-1371 1373 13 Valiant NCC-1709 (lost) 14 Yorktown NCC-1704 Joe Hitchens
