San Diego Chemistry Dept Lines: 34 Ok theatre people, Its time for us to replace our 30+ year old light board. Its down to about 8 (out of 24) working channels. We need suggestions on sources of new (or near new) boards. I've been looking at some pretty pictures for Spectrum Design boards and they would probably do the job, but they are nothing outstanding. What we need is a system with 24 channel (min) and 3 scene (min) 2.5kw per dimmer. Ideally we can add a pc at some time to control the thing. If you know soures for computer controllers, that would be helpful as well. The only source I know of wants $1800 for an IBM PC board with software. Controls 12 channels. Too expensive for us. That would be over $3500 plus the PC just to control 24 dimmers.
