In between answering phones I found out that the station is having a very rough time renewing the terms with American Public Radio to carry APHC for next year. APR folks want the stations to broadcast the show "live". The show is carried here from 9-11 p.m. saturday night. We have a very popular show called Twine Time from 6-9 p.m. and have All Things Considered from 5-6 p.m..So in short we may have to give up APHC if do not carry it live. I personally would like to have it live (because 9-11 p.m. slot has virtually wiped out my social life),but giving it up totally will be a fatal blow for addicted fans like me. My question to fellow wobegonians : Do you have a similar problem in your area? Have you heard anything about it? Do you know if GK has something to do with all this? I wonder what will we shy persons in Austin do without APHC? Atul Arya Dept. of Petroleum Engineering Univ. of Texas at Austin P.S. : All times above are local times. (CST or CDT)
