My mother gave me an issue of "Historic Preservation"
magazine containing an interview with Garrison.
He was told that someone has suggested that he was
well on his way to becoming a living monument, and
then he was asked what he thought of this.  He
paused for a moment and said:
	
	"Well, it makes me fell a little stiff in
	 the back, a little heavy on the feet, and
	 worried a lot about pigeons."
