Summary: pesnta is trying to get *all* sites connected


I am trying to make pesnta the one-stop mail center for all Perkin-Elmer
Customers so its easy to make site to site contact without having to go thru
several "hops".  Mail and the small number of pe.* newsgroups should not be
a real cost concern for P-E.  If necessary, I will pull back on the long 
distance news feeds in favor of the pe news feeds.   I have a general uucp 
login for new sites to do their initial uucp connections to pesnta and after 
they feel the connection is ok, I will give them their own uucp login.

Please give this number only to Perkin-Elmer Customer sites.  We are in the
process of acquiring a couple Hayes SmartModem 2400's which will be a big
help in the long distance runs.  Anyone with the ability to run 2400 baud,
please let me know.
