I'm no adb wizard, but in the past (on other UNIX systems)
I've used adb to traceback with $c. That would give me both
the cause of the core dump (Quit, Memory Fault, IOT trap, etc.)
and a traceback of routines.

Under Edition VII I don't get the cause of the core dump.
Is it accessible somehow?
