It seems that if you mail a large file, it refuses to read or extract it, saying that a 29,xxx byte record is too large for its buffer, or somesuch. Several of the arpanet digests frequently fall into this category. Are there any alternatives? I would dearly love to hear of a mail program that runs under VMS V4, that has decently documented network hooks, and that is RFC 822 compatible. I would love it even more if it didn't cost anything, but I'll try to wring some bucks out for anything that fits the first three requirements. Anybody??? Stew rubenstein@harvard P.S.
