 is provided for public information]

"Arity Corporation (Concord, Mass. 617-371-2422) has announced a PROLOG
compiler/interpreter for serious AI development on IBM PCs.  The package
sells for $2000; the interpreter alone in $500.  The Arity/Prolog Compiler
and Interpreter includes: a source level debugger, virtual databases, float-
ing point arithmetic, string support, interface to assembly language and 'C',
text screen manipulation, integrated programming shell, and definite clause
grammar support.  Applications execute rapidly enough to negate the need to
recode AI application prototypes into other languages."
