I seem to be having some problem with my tapes.  It's not the
tapes, because most of them are TDKs and Maxells, with the few
random ones from my unwiser days.  Basically, I record something,
and all goes well for a while, then strange clicks appear on the
tapes, similar to the sound of a bad scratch on a record.  These
in fact appear to be scratches on the tape(?), because they are still
there if I re-record the tape.   I suspect it's because I don't clean
my heads enough (no flames, please! I'm changing my evil ways!)
or I'm just not doing a good job when I do clean it.  Could this be
the problem, and if not, then what?  In any case, what is the best
way to clean the heads on my tape deck?
