i think this will be my last request for information....
based on net input i have ruled out some possibilities.
two more cars that i test drove and am considering are:
	the new subaru gt (i think that's the model) 
	toyota gts (twin cam (16-valve) engine - 111 horsepower
		with a 1.6 liter engine!)
while i prefer the styling of the subaru to the toyota (the toyota
interior designs were out-to-lunch when they decided
color-combinations for the red exterior!) - i believe the toyota will
hold its value better in the long run.

anyone have any opinions or experiences? i need them fast as i must
decide w/in a day or two.
