I read "Hunger Dogs", and was not terribly impressed. Nor was I with Captain Victory or Silver Star for Pacific. I was a big fan of the "New Gods" books when they were out, but either I have grown older or Kirby has started to loose it, but his stuff just doesn't have the sense of wonder that it originally had for me. Also thought the ending of "Hunger Dogs" was a cop out. Would really like to see him finish the thing, if for no other reason than so I don't have to read yet another third-rate revival by someone else. (Anyone else remember the various bad stories put out with the New Gods, finally ending in Adventure, I believe?) -- eric ...!seismo!umcp-cs!aplvax!osiris!eric
