Yes, I have those stories (ending in Adventure), including the one that
"revived" them after Kirby stopped writing them that appeared in "DC Presents"
or some such.  That's the one where Darkseid tells Orion that his (Darkseid's)
heart has been hooked up to Earth's sun such that if Darkseid dies, the sun
blows up (something like that).  (Talk about cop outs!)  Anyway, it occurred to
me that somewhere along the way Apokolips needs to be devastated so that
Darkseid can be resurrected to fight the Legion.  Then, it occurred to me:
What's going to happen to Darkseid, et al, during COIE?!?  The other Monitor
(whatever he is) IS aware of Darkseid, and plans to take care of him.  Hmm...
