I'd like to thank those people who responded to me concerning the
purchase of a BMW 75/5, you were a great help to me.  I now have
some new questions.
I am installing a used luftmeister fairing which I got for $50.
Problems with this are that:
a)This fairing is designed for the /6 models, so my headlight doesn't
fit behind it. Nor does the 5 inch headlight mount in it.  I have
to replace the headlight itself, but how to mount the Speedo?

b)Like I said this faring is used.  I need to remove scratches from the
shield.  This is an acrylic shield, so I think it can be polished.
Any suggestions?

c)Do I have to install the heavy duty fork springs to support the fairing?

Thanks for any advice you can give me.

Oh, I have now put >500 miles on my first bike!
