What troubles me most is the elitest attitude by some people on the net that seems to imply that all people in the service industries are slobbering idiots. What seems to be lacking here is the acknowledgement that the managements of these various organizations require their personnel to say these things, it's part of their job. Failure to do this could result in termination. If you don't like it, write the company or patronize another place. I'm getting tired of all the complaining here about such trivial things when there are so many more important things we could be discussing; such as the famine in Africa, peace in the Middle East and Burt Reynolds hair piece. But since we must vent our frustrations on petty problems, what bothers me most is the Dairy Queen in my hometown that requires you to pay before they fill your order. It shows a lack of trust and if there were another DQ in own I'd go there. I think I'll call up the owner and call him a slobbering idiot. Another thing that troubles me is the self serve gas stations in Calif. that make you pay before you get gas. I'm really glad they don't have self-serve in Oregon. There, I feel much better. Thank you for your time......and, oh yes, thank you for shopping K-Mart. -- Dave Williams Tektronix, Inc.
