Huh? The optimal handgun for amusement will likely be a 5" or 6" Ruger .22LR. The optimal handgun for self-defense (assuming you don't mind scaring the pants off people and live in state that allows such behavior) is probably the Ingram MAC-10 in .45 ACP. If concealment is important, I suggest the Colt .380.
