They still have prejudices, but so do we, and we are, or we think we are, somehow a model for a free societies. Actually, I can't see myself forgiving the Germans simply because I'd feel silly forgiving people for something that most of them had nothing to do with. On the other hand, we clearly shouldn't forgive or forget what the Nazi's have done. Some people seem to equate forgiving Germans with forgiving the Nazis. The difference is that the Germans doesn't need to be forgiven, and the Nazis never should be. Side Note: As for the Reagan's gig in Bitburg, I think it should have been cancelled because it does amount to forgiving the Nazis. -- Thomas Andrews 17?
