Should the Christians of today blame the Jews of > today for the murder of Jesus? |-: Well I agree that ALL the present-day population should not be fair game guilt-abuse by anyone, HOWEVER: There are people who lived in "that" Germany, alive today, WHO STILL BELIEVE THAT HITLER WAS RIGHT!!!!!!! In the last five years I have met two different Germans, living in the USA, who were in the NAZI Army, and fought until the surrender. When the topic of WW II came up, I was amazed to find that they expressed the belief that Hitler was 100% right, that the Jews were the root of all evil, and that Hitler just didn't do it quick enough! One even expressed the feeling that if the USA of that time had realized that the "final plan" had, in the long run, included blacks, (Whether it did or not, I'm not sure.) that the USA would have supported Germany, or at least not gotten involved, due to the US's hatered of blacks!!! These two "gentlemen" had to be around 20 at the end of the war, and so are the "young, innocent" draftees that Ray-gun spoke of. Now, I will admit that these men probably had their minds twisted by belonging to the Hitler Youth, however they are the only examples of German WWII solders I have ever talked to. So, I am forced to assume that many of those who had an active, direct involvement in the Third Reich, held at that time, and apparently still hold opinions and beliefs that I find abhorrent. These men I cannot forgive. I cannot forgive any racist, while he remains a racist. How many people living in Germany today have these beliefs? I don't know. Very few I hope, but some people who have been to Germany tell me there are more than I would like to believe. (I would like to believe that the two I met are the only two in the world.) Forgive? Yes, forgive those who have quit hating. Forget? Never, lest we repeat it with any number of variations. ------------------------------------------------------------------ disclaimer: No sane man thinks as I do. ...ihnp4!mgnetp!ll1!cej Llewellyn Jones ------------------------------------------------------------------
