Why restrict this to fighters? A while back John Sapienza suggested that the class be called "Champion" and the powers extended to other classes as well. I don't have the stats, but they appeared in Alarums & Excursions (Did I spell that right?) ages ago. The general correlations were: Fighter = Paladin Magic-User = Magi Cleric = Saint Bard = Herard A quick hack would be to allow these classes to "go holy" for the differnce in the required xp from fighter > paladin. For example: new increase xp level required by 2 + 750 3 + 1,500 4 + 4,000 5 + 6,000 6 + 10,000 7 + 25,000 8 + 50,000 9 +100,000 10 +200,000 11 +300,000 12+ +100,000 (and +100,000 per level thereafter) Of course, this would be heresy in a One True Way AD&D game... :-) -- Bob Simpson UUCP ..!ihnp4!plus5!bob High Priest, Reformed Church of Smithing the Heretic
