If there are any general aviation pilots out there that have run across any public domain software (for execution on Unix System 3 or 5 based VAX systems) that will allow a link to National Weather Service computers and/or any other privately owned weather information services, I'd really appreciate hearing about it. I'm aware of the existence of software packages made available for the various PCs on the market that allow this sort of thing, but, since I do not own a PC, I've not done any in-depth investigation into the types of operating systems they run under and exactly what capabilities you get with them. The fact that the packages exist indicates that there are services to hook into; hopefully such software exists for us VAX users as well. If response is good I'll post replies back to the net. thanks, Jeffrey Wise INteractive Systems Corporation decvax!cca!ima!ism780!jeffw
