My favorite was about some guys who stole a pickup truck, drove to a
welding company, broke in, connected up a torch outfit to a tank of
acetelyne and a tank of NITROGEN, and spent the night gently warming the
outside of a safe and filling the office with soot.  When they finally gave
up, they discovered they had left the truck's lights on, so it wouldn't
start.  So they hoofed it.  But one of them left his wallet on the truck's
seat.
