A fellow at work here took karate lessons for a little over a 
year and related the following incident:

   A mugger/purse snatcher decided to ply his trade.  Naturally, he
   waited in the parking lot next to where the karate class was taught.
   When a lady student came out, he came at her whereupon she dispatched 
   him promptly, breaking three of his ribs in the process.  While he was
   lying on the pavement in this incapacitated state, she began to scream
   "Help, Help, the muggers are after me!"
