	For the past several years I have been involved in software development
using PL/I subset G.  I am a relative newcomer to the C programming environment
and find myself wanting a clean I/O library.  In particular a clean random
record oriented file access method.

	I would appreciate references to any available, portable, standard(?) 
source library(s).  Please respond by e-mail, I will summarize responses to
the net if appropriate.
