Are there any compilers available for a 4.2BSD VAX environment which are
FAST?  We're hoping to move most of our instruction onto VAXen next fall,
and compile-and-go or so-called check-out compilers would certainly
provide better student response time than the delivered compilers.
(Even a compiler which skipped the assembly step would be nice!)

Information on any available compilers for FORTRAN 77, Pascal or Modula2
would be appreciated.  Please mail replies since we don't receive all news;
I'll post a summary.  Thanks!
