(This does not invalidate your basic comment, that Intel does a better job on support chips than Motorola, which is true. If you want a really odd case, consider National, which has had pretty-much-clean support chips for the 32000 series for some time, and is just starting to ship more-or-less clean 32000 CPUs.) (He who claims that National has had clean ["Rev N"] 32000 CPUs for N months now has not talked to customers who tried to buy Rev N chips.
